There are numerous on-line and off-line resources available to you to help you become a better researcher. You will be given a tour of the IT Department so you'll be able to locate off-line resources such as journals and encyclopedias. Below are some links to web-based resources. Please recommend additional resources as you locate them.

Instructional Technology Research Online (InTRO) This resource was first developed by four IT doctoral students (John Farquhar, Steve Harmon, Marshall Jones, and Dan Surry),
Center for Social Research Methods This resource is extensive thanks to the long-term contributions of Bill Trochim, a professor at Cornell University.
"White Papers" from U.S. Department of Education These research papers were written for "The Secretary's Conference on the Effectiveness of Educational Technology" in 1999.
Apple Classroom of Tomorrow (ACOT) Research This Apple Computer site provides information about perhaps the most extensive instructional technology research project ever conducted.
Center for Research on Information Technology and Organizations (CRITO) The CRITO site includes excellent research reports produced by Hank Becker and his associates at the University of California, Irvine.
ERIC Clearinghouse on Information and Technology This government-sponsored resource, located at Syracuse University, includes research reports related to educational technology (as well as library and information science.)
Instructional Technology Connections Martin Ryder from the University of Colorado - Denver maintains this site that includes good links to instructional technology research.
The Center for the Study of Technology and Society  This site provides information on cutting edge "research" in a wide range of topics related to instructional technology.
"The No Significant Differences Phenomenon" Website This site presents evidence in support of Richard Clark's claim he media make no difference in learning. (Note the link to studies that do claim to have found differences.)
West Virginia Story: Achievement Gains from a Statewide Comprehensive Instructional Technology Program  This report from the West Virginia Department of Education and the Milken Family Foundation claims to show the effects of instructional technology on achievement tests.
