| Some people remain
fairly quiet during a face-to-face classroom meeting whereas
others contribute enthusiastically to classroom discussions regardless
of the topic. There are many factors that may explain varying
degrees of participation in classroom discussions such as cultural
differences or shyness. We shall strive to take these individual
differences into account, but it is important for you to be a
regular contributor to the class discussions to the best of your
abilities. Of course, the best contributor is an informed contributor.
It will be important for you to keep up with the readings. There
will also be a class
listserv that you can use to ask questions and make comments
