The checklist I use when I'm evaluating a portfolio to see if it's all there
M.Ed. and Non-degree Certification

All SLM students seeking certification must complete a portfolio. This checklist corresponds with M.Ed. and non-degree expectations.

[]    The Four AASL Standards
[]    Big Eight Assessments, aligned with AASL Standards. (The links below lead to current versions of the projects, which naturally evolve over time. You are responsible for the version required when you enrolled in the course.)

GACE I and II in Library Media: don't post your scores, but bring a copy to the Oral Exam.
Internship - do not post full documentation online. Post your slides into your portfolio. We understand that Internship documentation is likely still in progress at the time of the Marathon.

[]    Optional, but helpful for SLM Program effectiveness assessment: how you met our departmental diversity requirement. We require experience with diverse student populations either in your professional background or in your internship.

Advisor's responsibilities (through online portfolio management system)

[]    Announce portfolio to Cathy Dickson and each committee member; cc student
[]    Chair Oral Exam meeting
