7650 Assignment

Applied Project Presentation
Value: 20 points

updated 1-21-09

Purpose of this Assignment
An Oral Exam is required of all graduate candidates of UGA.  In our program, Ed.S. candidates present their finished Applied Project to a committee of three faculty members and other visitors.  They are prepared to discuss questions that might be posed by members of the committee.

Task

Register for the Marathon as directed (or independently, if you can't attend the designated Marathon day).

Your entire first draft of the AP is due approximately one month before the presentation.  Revise as directed, in preparation for this presentation.

By this point, your Applied Project is finished, awaiting final feedback from the committee.  You will leave the meeting with a good idea of what final revisions must be made. Prepare a brief presentation of no more than 15 minutes to describe the highlights of your AP to the committee. Also have available your certification Portfolio. Reflect upon your Ed.S. program as a whole, as it might be relevant to the discussion.

Ed.S. Oral Exams last from 45 minutes to one hour. You may assume that committee members have examined your materials. However, due to the volume of material to be examined, they may not remember every detail.
