This document lists all tasks required for 7650, in the approximate order you should do them.
It's under development as the semester goes on; links will come alive here as soon as an item is available; and old material moves to the bottom.

Apr 22 - May 1 (Last)

[] Submit AP Final Draft by Apr 28
[] Fill out Research Permission and E-Permission in dropbox by May 1. (ok to decline!)
[] Do course eval by May 4.


Jan 8 - Jan 24
Tasks to complete by this date, in order (as much as possible):
[] Read the Syllabus; and explore the website and WebCT to figure out where things are.
[] Organize your calendar around all the dates provided, especially the meeting dates and the due dates.
[] Send me a quick email (to mfitzger@uga.edu) that provides your preferred email address, you preferred phone number(s), your mailing address, and your GMAIL id (so that I can easily share Googledocs with you).
[] Open a Skype account and add me to your contact list (my ID is maryannfitzgerald).  You can IM me or "call  me" (for free) anytime I'm logged onto Skype.
[] Subscribe to the AP Blog using one of the forms here.
[] Read/review all of Farmer, especially sections related to Analysis.
[] Attend class on Jan 24
[] Submit on/before Jan 24: a brief post (or 2 posts) to your private WebCt Discussion Board. Address 2 things:
1. All progress made on your AP since your last update in December (brief!)
2. Your Timeline - adjusted as necessary according to the due dates for this class.
[] Study the Analysis Plan assignment; bring questions and data samples to class on Jan 24.



Jan 25 - Feb 1
Tasks to complete by end date, in order (as much as possible):
[] Analysis Plan due Feb 1
[] Sign up for Feb 21 Conference Day.  Access required; send me your GMAIL login if you can't get in.

Feb 2 - Feb 7
 
[] Explore examples of the sections you are writing.  Among the many good examples from Cohort 6, here are some highlights:
  • Overall results: Karen, Oreta, Denise

Feb 8 - Feb 21 & 22

[] On Feb 21 (Conferencing Day), we'll follow this schedule.  Bring whatever you need to talk about.
[] Results Draft due 2/22
[] Explore examples of the sections you are writing, as needed.  Among the many good examples from Cohort 6, here are some highlights:

  • Results/discussion interplay: Maile.
  • Discussion section: Shelby.


Feb 23 - Mar 15

[x] I will evaluate your Results Draft as soon as possible - within one week (barring unforeseen circumstances).  Rest from your labors while awaiting this feedback. 
[] Repair your Results before moving onto the Discussion. No one needs to resubmit, but logically, the work must be done in that order.
[x] I will provide help with Discussion, Conclusion, Recommendations Draft by March 4 (barring unforeseen circumstances). Done: see Agenda
[] Most people can proceed to the Discussion after repairing Results.  Although my coaching will help, it won't change your process, if you have a good idea of what to do.
[] Class on March 14
[] New Discussion deadline is March 15

Mar 16 - Mar 22

[] I will evaluate your Discussion section as soon as possible - again, hoping to finish within a week.
[] Work on your Ed.S. Portfolio while waiting.


Mar 22 - Apr 6

[] AP Draft due Mar 29
[] Submit your AP Draft (revised according to my feedback) to your advisor by Apr 6.
[] Explore examples of the sections you are writing.  Among the many good examples from Cohort 6, Karen's is an exemplar of overall qualitative study presentation.

Apr 7 - Apr 12 & 13

[] Submit your Ed.S. Portfolio by Apr 12
[] Your AP should be ready for the SLM Committee by Apr 13

Apr 14 - Apr 18, 20, 21

[] Give your AP Presentation during the Marathon, Apr 20-21
