Choice No. 1

directions: 
Take I-985 N. / Hwy 365 N. past Gainesville. At Gainesville I-985 ends but Hwy-365 continues. Stay on 365 to the Toccoa / Lavonia exit at around mile marker 53. (GA-365 N becomes GA-17 S/ VETERANS MEMORIAL WAY) You will turn LEFT onto GA-106/ GA-63/ MIZE RD This is the 3rd stop light. Turn RIGHT onto OLD LIBERTY HILL RD. (This will be at the Maryland Fried chicken). The
school is down 2 block and on the right.

Tasks:   We will be weeding, and relabeling most of the books in the library. Some books will need to be covered with mylar to improve their appearance. We will need to make updates and changes in the  circulation system as changes are made.

Tasks:     I have been planning to convert our Fiction Section into Genre Areas (more like a book store, more appealing to our teen patrons):  Mystery, Sci Fi, Romance, etc.  This will require us to figure out what area each book fits into, using our wits, the book, the OPAC, LOC, Titlewave, and any other online resource we can get our hands on.  Then we'll sticker/label the books, input location info into Alexandria, and arrange the books accordingly.  If we have time, I also would like to
create signage, but I may have some teens help me with this.

(If traveling south) Take Hwy 23 to the light at Duncan Bridge Rd./384 and turn right.  Travel about 6-8 miles and turn left at the light onto Hwy 115.  Take 115 into the Cleveland Square.  Turn left at the Square onto Hwy 129.  Travel about 5-6 miles and turn left at the light onto Westmoreland Rd.  The school will be on your right.

1.  Catalog Newbridge and National Geographic leveled readers, add keywords so teachers can locate these resources easily, and process materials for checkout.

 
2.  Create lists of resources (web, video, print) that correlate the 4th grade Social Studies GPS and State 4th Grade social studies curriculum map.  Generate a PO in Follett or BTSB for additional resources to be added to the collection.

 
3.  Reorganize professional area – weed, change call numbers (everything is now in 372.0!), add keywords to the MARC record, make signs, create an August newsletter to introduce teachers to some of the resources

Dates: Mandy will be there all day on the following days:  May 29 & May 30(Th &F), and June 2-6 (M-F). Other dates will have to be determined once I see the summer school schedule

Tasks:  We have approximately 2000 books that need to be entered in to the system and processed start to finish.  The experience will include searching for MARC records, printing spine and barcode labels, wrapping books with book covers, and shelving books.  There will probably be stations set up and rotations.
