Standards
- 3.2 Instructional Partner (it's
disappointing that Curriculum is not explicitly acknowledged in this
standard. However, it's implied.)
- 2.3A Employs strategies
to
integrate the information literacy curriculum with content curriculum
Discussion Points
- Supporting the curriculum is a value that should underlie most of
your activities, goals, and procedures.
- In turn, use curriculum support as justification in proposals,
arguments, and rationales.
- Some say that curricula are biased. Think about this, and
keep in mind that some legitimate and significant ideas may be
completely missing from the curriculum, but would still be valid topics
of interest.
