How to save and locate files on network, hard and floppy disk; moving files around

Save

  1. Go to file
  2. Scroll down to Save As
  3. Go to Save In box at top of window and choose location [C: drive is the hard drive and A: drive is the floppy disk. Networks can be accessed from this point.]
  4. Type document name in File name box
  5. Click Save button
Locate
  1. Go to File
  2. Scroll down to Open
  3. Choose location of document
  4. Click on File name
  5. Click Open button
Moving files

(Option 1)

  1. Open My Computer by double clicking
  2. Double click to open A: drive and C: drive
  3. Double click on icon of file to move
  4. Drag file to desired location (opposite drive)
(Option 2)
  1. Open My Computer by double clicking
  2. Double click to open A: drive or C: drive
  3. Click icon wanting to move
  4. Right click
  5. Scroll up to Cut
  6. Open desired drive
  7. Right click
  8. Scroll up to Paste
