Assignment B
Educational Software Review and Demonstration
Value: 10 points
Due: as scheduled.  Make sure to sign up for a presentation time on the class calendar.

Purpose
Many interesting software packages are available now for instructional use.  These packages are designed for students to use to help them learn some skill or content, or to make a product. The purpose of this assignment is to explore and demonstrate a number of these packages.

Task
Find a piece of educational software meant for student use. I recommend that you visit the Curriculum Materials Center (on the 2nd floor of Aderhold) and explore their collection of educational software. The audience for the software may be a learner of any age or skill level in any content area, but the software must be designed to assist students learn directly.  Explore the software. I also recommend that you try it out in advance on the teacher's station in 233 Aderhold.  Demonstrate the software in class, sharing possible uses of the software and what you perceive to be its strengths and weaknesses.  Please don't use web sites for this assignment.  If you need to use a Macintosh, this can be arranged.
