Things You Must Get Done During Program

Next to Last Semester File Program of Study Form - Make sure that you do not put anything in the Term or Grade fields for any classes you are currently or will be taking. Do fill in these fields for all courses that are complete. If you can save the data in the PDF, email the form to your advisor. If not, print two copies and mail them to your advisor. You can file this earlier if you wish.
Next to Last Semester

File for Graduation - This is web form. Fill it out during your next to last semester. You can do it earlier.

Beginning of Last Semester Arrange for Portfolio or Final Defense - This needs to be done early in your last semester. For the masters students, you need to also have your portfolio complete and email your url to your advisor early in your last semester. Your advisor must approve your portfolio before it is released to your committee. Applied projects will also need to have defenses scheduled early in your last semester. Obviously, your project needs to be reviewed by your advisor early in the semester so that the committee can have two weeks before the final defense. Failure to do so will result in your defense being cancelled and postponed to the next semester (resulting you having to pay more tuition).
