Workshop DescriptionThis workshop will provide an introduction to Adobe Photoshop, the world-recognized leader in graphic design software for both Intel- and Macintosh-based computers. Emphasis will be placed on making selections, and understanding layers.
Since this is a beginning workshop, there is no specific preparation required except familiarity with the operating systems, either Windows or MacOS. It is recommended, however, that participants buy a basic book pertaining to Photoshop. Amazon.com lists over 100 Photoshop books available through their online ordering service. Michael Grant has listed several of the best below. It is also recommended that you purchase a copy of Adobe Photoshop for your personal computer. Creation Engine.com has Photoshop 6.0 for both Mac & Windows machines for $299.00 (this would give you an academic license -- meaning it would be illegal to use it for purposes other than personal education).
