There are two purposes to this dress rehearsal. The first, and most important, is to provide everyone with a final opportunity to get and give feedback on projects in time to make final revisions for the Studio Showcase. The second purpose is to learn about the procedures of the actual Showcase. Click here for a copy of the Procedures of the Showcase Dress Rehearsal.
All students must submit a description of their project and/or materials as soon as possible (and definitely before the dress rehearsal). The information you submit depends on the course in which you are enrolled. You can update this information as often as you like, but the "drop dead" date for revisions is Monday, November 26, Noon -- revisions submitted after this time may not find their way into the Showcase Program to be distributed "at the door".
A reminder that the database is able execute HTML code in certain fields. For example, enter URLs for your personal and project web sites using the following form:

A final deadline will be published indicating the "drop dead" date for revisions to any of the information you provide for the real Showcase on November 29(this deadline is tentatively set for now as Monday, November 26, Noon).
The studio instructors will begin constructing the Studio program based on the information you supply. The program will be desktop published to be handed out to the audience as well as converted to a PDF file for downloading off of the Studio web site. Although all information submitted is subject to editing, it is likely that the information you submit will be used exactly as submitted. Therefore, be sure to write and proofread your information carefully and be sure to use proper construction of the various elements (e.g. write your instructional objectives in the proper form!).
Here is a sample (using an EDIT 6200 project; use a similar form for other categories unique to 6190 and 6210):
The showcase will be organized to resemble sessions at a conference. Each participant and/or group is responsible set up their project so that it is ready for viewing at the start of their allotted time at the showcase. 6210 participants will also make a brief presentation of their team projects.

During the demonstrations, you are expected to have your project set up on one of the computers in 616 lab and have it ready for visitors to view plus be there to answer questions (if you need any specialized equipment, get with the Studio instructors as soon as possible to begin making preparations). Visitors will be able to circulate among all the projects at will. Given the number of projects, we will set up three demonstration rotations, as listed above (all projects will be presented in the same rotation and on the same computer as that of the "dress rehearsal"). Having two rotations will also allow everyone a chance to review many of the projects.
The 6210 teams will make formal presentations of their presentations at the start of the showcase, followed by demonstrations during the showcase.
