Adventures on the Web: Using WebQuests to Harness Web Resrouces

Seminar Description

This seminar will be conducted by Gretchen (Bourdeau) Thomas.

A WebQuest is a learning activity in which some or all of the information that students interact with comes from sites on the Internet. They were created several years ago by Bernie Dodge, a professor of educational technology at San Diego State University. Since then, many teachers have created their own to use in their classrooms.

I will show you various examples of WebQuests, as well as one of my own:

We will discuss uses of these in classrooms, as well as with adults.
