EDIT 6190 Contracts

There are two templates for the Web-Based Independent Project Contract and Design Journal. available for you to freely copy and use. You can use either template with any HTML editor (though both are frame-based). You are encouraged to use either one "as is" (i.e. just fill it in as you go). But you are also free to adapt either to suit your own style. You can also construct your own web site but be sure to keep the same basic structure (I will also question you about whether this is a good use of your time!).

Web-Based Independent Contract and Design Journal

Everyone's "first installment" of the independent project contract and reflection statements (i.e journal) is due no later than Thursday, October 4. Everyone is to post a total of at least 6 cycles (contract update/journal entry) plus a final reflection by November 29. These should be evenly spaced over the rest of the term. To meet the design literature reading requirement you may choose to either integrate the literature in some way into each and every journal entry or write a separate literature summary/critique paper. If you choose the latter, put a link to this paper somewhere in your final reflection (but note that this paper cannot be used as your final reflection). Consult the handbook for expect scope and length requirements of this written material.

Tool Selection & Work Plan Contract

The "Tool Selection & Work Plan Contract" is completed and approved by the EDIT 6190 Studio Manager (Mike Orey) by the second week of classes. The work associated with this contract should have been completed by about October 4. All appointments with Mike to review your material should have taken place no later than October 11.
