Please note: A certificate does not lead to Georgia State certification, but rather is designed to demonstrate an area of concentration.  Recent legislation requires that all Georgia teachers will meet certain minimum standards of technology proficiency (which is also prerequisite to admission to this certificate program, as indicated in the above requirements).  This certificate is aligned with and exceeds those standards and is designed to prepare educators to become leaders in technology integration.

Non-degree study is meant for applicants who do not intend to pursue a degree, but who wish to take courses for professional development.  A maximum of 9 credit hours taken as non-degree can be applied toward a M.Ed. or Ed.S. degree.  Transfer of credits is subject to formal admission to a degree program and subsequent to approval of the candidate’s academic department.
