EDIT-L
Listserv
ur
department uses electronic means to communicate with all
students whenever possible. The department has a listserv,
called
EDIT-L, that is used to send departmental announcements to all students, staff,
and faculty.
If
you already had an email account when you applied for admission
into our program, it was used to subscribe you to EDIT-L
listserv. If not, you are expected to acquire and use an
email account within the first few weeks of starting classes.
You can apply for a free ARCHES
email account through
the university or a free COE email account through the College
of Education Office
of Information Technology .
Your advisor can help you.
This
listserv is the main (and oftentimes the only) means through
which you will receive important departmental announcements.
You are responsible to check your email on a daily basis.
Do not expect follow-up copies of important announcements
or letters via regular mail unless otherwise noted.
It
is also very important to note that the email address under
which you are subscribed to this listserv is considered your
official departmental email address for all department correspondence.
If someone needs to reach you personally (e.g. the Graduate
Coordinator, your advisor, or even a fellow student) with
an important message your email address on file in this list's
database will be used.
Therefore,
if your email address changes, it is your responsibility
to notify one of the listserv owners (Lloyd
Rieber, Rob
Branch, Margaret Turner, or Cathy
Dickson) with this information as soon as possible. (Only
these individuals are authorized to make changes to your
subscription.)
