he
is a native Georgian and she received a B.S.Ed and an M.Ed.
in Middle
Grades Education, and an Ed.S. in Instructional Technology, all
from the
University of Georgia. She taught in public schools for six years,
as a
middle school science teacher. She also worked as the Instructional
Technology Coordinator for Rockdale County Schools in Conyers,
Georgia.
At UGA, she coordinates the undergraduate Instructional Technology
courses. She also teaches sections of Introduction to Computers
for
Teachers, Basic Instructional Technology Competencies, and Teaching
with
Technology.
Her current interests
involve finding ways of providing quality professional development
for inservice teachers, assisting
undergraduates
in portfolio development, and working with students to design
games with
everyday software, like PowerPoint.
