Application of message design principles to the creation of instructional messages in the materials for various media. Motivation, memory, perception, attitude changes and concept learning principles are integrated into practical exercises. PREREQUISITE: EDIT 6210

EDIT/EADU 8200 Theory & Practice of Educational Change - 3 Credit Hours

Individual and collective meanings of change, theory and practice of organizational change and development in a variety of educational settings.

EDIT 8350 Instructional Product Evaluation - 3 Credit Hours

Planning, conducting, analyzing, and reporting systematic evaluations of instructional products such as computer-based training, interactive multimedia, and distance learning. PREREQUISITE: EDIT 4170/6170 and (ERSH 6300 or STAT 6210)

EDIT 8990 Doctoral Seminar - 1 Credit Hours

Developmental forum for establishing, clarifying and evolving student's perspectives on instructional technology research. Heighten awareness of critical issues in the field and areas of disciplined inquiry.

EDIT 9000 Doctoral Research - VAR 1-6 Credit Hours

Research while enrolled for a doctoral degree under the direction of faculty members.

EDIT 9300 Doctoral Dissertation - VAR 1-6 Credit Hours

Dissertation writing under the direction of the major professor. PREREQUISITE: Permission of Department

EDIT 9600 Educational Research in Instructional Technology - VAR 1-6 Credit Hours

Individual research under the supervision of a faculty member.

EDIT 9630 Critique of Literature in Instructional Tech. - 3 Credit Hours

Research and theoretical literature in instructional technology. Review and evaluation of current research in selected areas is emphasized. A synthesis of the literature in an area of interest is completed by each student.

EDIT 9990 Doctoral Topical Seminar - 3 Credit Hours

Examination of topical issues in instructional technology.
