Call for Proposals The faculty and graduate students in the Department of Instructional Technology at The University of Georgia invite you to submit proposals for paper and poster presentations at a special conference on Design: Connect, Create, Collaborate and related topics. Each proposal will be reviewed by three reviewers for inclusion in the conference program, as well as in print and online versions of the proceedings. The conference is being organized in honor of Dr. Kent L. Gustafson, one of the major contributors to the field of Instructional Design, during the past three decades. Dr. Gustafson will be retiring from The University of Georgia in 2001, although he plans to continue contributing to the field of instructional technology as a consultant. Participation in the conference is open to anyone interested in instructional design and technology, but it is primarily designed as a professional opportunity for graduate students and faculty at universities in the Southeastern United States that have graduate programs in the areas of instructional technology, instructional systems design, cognition and learning and related areas. These institutions include Florida State University, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, North Carolina State University, Vanderbilt University, Virginia Tech, the University of Central Florida, the University of South Alabama, the University of Virginia, The University of Georgia, and others.
