To
all prospective students:
hank
you for your interest in our learning community. All the
faculty and staff in Instructional Technology understand
that pursuing a graduate degree is an important decision
in
a person's
professional career and we are flattered that you are considering
coming here to study with us.
The
application process has several steps. Please be sure to
carefully review the requirements for the application as
we only
review
applications
that
are entirely complete. Once completed, an application can
take up to three months in the review process, including
receipt of the official letter from the Graduate School.
To help expedite the process, you should
send your letter or recommendation
and goal statement to the Graduate Coordinator:
Educational Psychology and Instructional Technology Department
The University of Georgia
Athens, GA 30602-7143
You should send transcripts to:
Office of Admissions
The Graduate School
Boyd Graduate Studies Research Center
The University of Georgia
Athens, GA 30602-7402
Your
first step and
the most important is to decide if one of our degree
programs is right for you. While you decide,
I encourage you to visit the UGA
Graduate School Web
site to become acquainted with the official university policies and procedures.
You should also view the UGA
Graduate School Bulletin this
is the official guide to all aspects of graduate study, including the application
process.
Finally,
please note that our Department requires the Graduate Record
Exam (International
applicants must also submit TOEFL scores). This exam is now
only given via computer. Contact the Educational
Testing Service or
the Counselling and Testing Center here on the UGA campus
at Clark Howell Hall (Tel: 706-5428071) for additional information.
(America Online users: there is excellent information about
the GRE at keyword "Grad School.")
Again,
thank you for considering our Department for your graduate
education. Our standards are high, our expectations are great,
but in the end, we are a group of people dedicated to improving
the quality of life through education.
