[]Attend Oct 11, 9-3. Topics: advisement; Ethics; critiques; methodology.  I hope to have finished your Designs by then.  In the meantime, use the Methodology material toward creating your Instruments and Materials.

Cycle 4: Oct 12 - Nov 1

For Critique assignment (due 10/25)
  • Review as needed: Critiquing research studies
  • Statistics: if your crit article is loaded with statistics, do not fear!  Read Farmer 28-36 as a quick overview of stats.
  • In 2007, I started an FAQ for the Critique Assignment.  Email your questions about this task and I will answer publically or privately, as appropriate.

[]Devote 9:30-1p to visiting all the Star Exhibits. Leave comments on 5-10!  Nominate at least one for Wacky Awards!

[] Open a Skype account and add me to your contact list (my ID is maryannfitzgerald).  You can IM me or "call  me" (for free) anytime I'm logged onto Skype.
[] Subscribe to the AP Blog using one of the forms here.
[] Read/review all of Farmer.
[] Identify an SLM blogger who watches and applies new ideas and research; follow for the semester; incorporate ideas as appropriate.
[] Claim your Star as soon as possible; submit name to the Exhibition Manager.
[] Complete Researchable Question Lesson (no deliverable, but an opportunity embedded within)
[] (If you plan to do an internship this academic year, explore the Internship site.)
[] Attend class on Sept 13.
